San Diego County will experience a warm spell through Wednesday as high pressure and a weak offshore flow push temperatures into the 70s at the coast and into the 80s across some inland areas, says the National Weather Service.
San Diego will hit 76 on Monday, 78 on Tuesday and 75 on Wednesday. Escondido will be 81 on Monday, 83 on Tuesday, and 80 on Wednesday.
The weather will turn sharply cooler on Thursday and Friday, when San Diego’s high only reaches 63. The seasonal high is 66.
The weather service has issued a hazardous surf notice for the coast, effective through Wednesday afternoon. Waves could reach the 4 to 6 foot level south of Del Mar. Strong surf is rolling ashore at Sunset Cliffs. Sea surface temperatures are in the 56 to 58 degree range.
