Ike’s Love & Sandwiches Opens 6th Location In San Diego County

POWAY, CA — Ike’s Love & Sandwiches is expanding in San Diego County, with the brand’s latest sandwich shop now open in Poway.

The new location, which opened Wednesday, is the company’s sixth store in the San Diego area. There is a sandwich shop in Del Mar as well as stores in the Gaslamp, Midway, Sorrento Valley and University areas of San Diego. Another location is coming soon to La Jolla, according to the company’s website.

“Poway! We’re neighbors and I love coming to hang out with you,” said Ike Shehadeh, founder of Ike’s Love & Sandwiches. “I’ve got two new sandwiches with a special sauce I made just for you.”

Ike’s offers meat lovers, vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free options and combinations. The brand’s “Dutch Crunch” bread is paired with Ike’s exclusive “Dirty Sauce,” a creamy garlic aioli toasted right into the bread.

Ike’s in Poway will feature two exclusive sandwiches. “What’s My Age Again” is made with turkey, bacon, avocado, pepper jack cheese and Ike’s Paguay Sauce, which the company described as “zesty, tangy, spicy and sweet.” “The City in the Country” is a vegetarian version of “What’s My Age Again,” with veggie bacon, avocado, pepper jack cheese and Ike’s Paguay Sauce.

“Ike’s signature sauces add layers of flavors to our sandwiches that you won’t get anywhere else,” CEO Michael Goldberg said. “The new Paguay Sauce made for Poway’s exclusive sandwiches is unlike anything you’ve tried on a sandwich before.”

Ike’s first sandwich shop opened in 2007 in San Francisco. The company now has almost 100 eateries, with locations across California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas and Colorado.

The Poway location is at 14827 Pomerado Road.
